This is a family-friendly event honoring our veterans and supporting mustang horse rescue and programs that connect the mustang horse with our veterans.
Veterans and Mustangs
It is no secret that the Equine can provide therapeutic benefits for many people. The Mustang Heritage Foundation’s (MHF) Veteran and Mustang Program
has had proven success for many of the Veterans who have completed it. This program has shown that Veterans find solace, hope, and purpose working with mustangs. Additionally, mustangs are prepared by the Veterans to become valuable and cherished partners in their new homes. This program provides a Win-Win for all!
Currently, there is no program for Veterans and Mustangs in Georgia. We are a “Grass Roots” Effort to bring the program to Georgia communities. We have partnered with the Mustang Heritage Foundation to do so. In order to be able to offer the program to Veterans, we need a facility that can accommodate this program.
We will host our Save A Mustang Save A Vet Family Fun Fundraiser Event each year to raise money and awareness for the Veteran and Mustang Program. Our goal is to bring this program to our Georgia community by Fall of 2019.
This year the event will take place at:
1140 Liberty Grove Road
Alpharetta, Georgia 30004
11:00am – 4:00pm – family friendly event, open to the public
4:30pm – 8:00pm – BBQ fundraiser, silent auction
Proceeds will come from the BBQ Bash Fundraiser ticket sales, a silent auction, as well as sponsorships, donations, and vendor fees.
In 2018, a portion of the proceeds will benefit:
Eventually, all of the proceeds from the event will directly benefit Friends of the Mustang Horse and our American Heroes for a future Veteran and Mustang Program here in Georgia.
